Tampa Pool Installation & Construction
Trusted Pool Construction Experts Helping Tampa Homeowners Build With Confidence
SiteWorx builds custom concrete pools in Tampa for homeowners tired of comparing proposals that never line up. This page walks through every construction phase, from excavation and shotcrete to interior finish, plus design upgrades, financing, and the first 30 days after your pool is filled. We are a licensed Florida contractor (CPC1460380) with experience in the pool industry since 2008.
Why Tampa Homeowners Need a Licensed Pool Contractor
Pool construction involves excavation, plumbing, steel, concrete, and electrical work, each with its own permits and inspections. Tampa soil conditions and local regulations add more variables. When separate contractors handle each stage of the pool-building process, the job stalls between trades, and delays during construction get expensive fast.
Residential Pool Construction in Tampa
SiteWorx handles residential pool construction in Tampa from layout to final walkthrough. Our pool builders manage the installation process and the outdoor living space around it, so one swimming pool contractor stays accountable.
Custom Pool Design
Our pool design team turns your ideas into a layout that fits the yard, with 3D renderings so you see the shape before excavation begins.
New Pool Construction
We build custom concrete in-ground pools in almost any shape, handling excavation, steel installation, gunite, tile, and interior finish under one construction contract from start to completion.
Spas & Water Features
Integrated spas, waterfalls, spillways, and fire features built into the pool area during construction and tied into the circulation system, so nothing has to be retrofitted later.
Pool Decking & Hardscape
Concrete decking, coping, stone, and raised walls that complete the pool area, with materials matched to your home and the surrounding outdoor living space.
Outdoor Living Space
Outdoor kitchens, pergolas, fire features, and landscaping designed alongside the pool so the whole outdoor space works as one backyard rather than separate projects.
Streamline Collection
Curated pool designs built with readily available materials for a faster schedule, giving you a new pool without the longer timeline a fully custom layout requires.

The Pool Construction Process
Layout & Excavation
Once permits are cleared, which typically takes about a week, excavation takes roughly two days, depending on soil conditions. We carefully navigate heavy machinery around your yard and landscaping, confirm setback compliance, and assess site conditions upfront to prevent delays and unexpected costs.
Rough Plumbing
Before steel installation, we complete the circulation system, drainage, skimmers, spa, water features, and maintenance lines, then fit water and sewer lines where needed. Plumbing and electrical rough-in takes up to one week, and the circulation system is pressure-tested before the construction process moves forward.
Structural Steel
Steel reinforcement (rebar) gives the pool its strength, safety, and long-term stability. Steel installation takes about two days. Our team ties the steel to the pool's shape, and a city inspector checks it for quality before pool construction continues.
Shotcrete
Sprayed concrete, known as shotcrete or gunite, is a mixture of cement, sand, and water applied with high-pressure hoses. It forms a shell over the steel framework, and gunite pools take almost any shape with decades of durability. The shell is rinsed for several days so it cures properly.
Tile, Coping & Stone
Our team sets waterline tiles, pool coping, spa spillways, raised walls, water features, and stonework. Tile and decking run about a week, though the timeline depends on the project's size and complexity. Tile and stone selections are where much of your pool's character comes through, so we match materials to the outdoor living space and pool area.
Pool Equipment Setup
Our professionals handle the precise installation of your pool equipment. Licensed electricians wire pumps, lighting, heaters, and remote control systems for easy control of the entire pool. Energy-efficient pool equipment is specified now. If a gas line for the spa heater is required, a licensed utility plumber runs it before startup.
Pool Decking
The pool deck completes the surrounding outdoor space and can be built from several materials to create a durable concrete deck. If you choose a textured Cool Deck or a stamped overlay, we integrate that step roughly two weeks later. Landscaping around the pool area takes up to a week.
Job Site Cleanup
As your project nears completion, our cleanup team removes debris from the job site, then grades the yard back to original elevation for landscaping. A clean site is the first thing you'll notice before the interior finish.
Interior Finish
Choose your pool's interior finish — plaster, pebble, or tile — and our crews handle installation. We clear debris and pump out water beforehand, then fill the pool. This phase takes about three days, followed by start-up, balancing pool water and running system checks. A concrete pool's interior finish needs resurfacing every 10 to 15 years.
